Fitness Etiquette
Ok, I'm grossed out. A guy came to yoga today coughing like he had GOBS of boogers in his chest. Completely nasty cough - wet and rattling.
I know some people think they simply MUST work out...and that maybe it will make them feel better.....but for fuck's sake - don't come to a CLASS and spew your nasty germs all over the rest of us! Do an individual work out - in the park or something.
(end rant)

May I add: And don't hover over me as I'm on a machine when there are 50 others you could do in the meantime... and don't leave and then come back a few minutes later and say that you were working on that machine .... and don't ask the front desk to change the TV right in front of me to some stupid show when I'm watching the news... and don't sit and read the paper on a weight machine... and wipe your nasty sweat...
Some people just have no sense of decorum. -
i had the pleasure of running next to someone last night who farted every 7 minutes.... for 45 minutes.

Haha. When they just walk away and leave you there is the worst. I had someone expel a whopper of a cloud as I was walking up a crowded stairwell yesterday morning. -
Some people can't help their flatulance
. I guess the best a gym can do is put signs up encouraging consumption of yogurt to discourage "ass biscuits."
Also place signs up encouraging people to cough into the bend of their inside elbow to prevent germ and virus spread.
When I've gone to a gym, I tend to be very self absorbed in my reps and can block out the activities of others. But the one thing that really bothered me was a manager of a gym who upon discovering that I was a sports fan, started gabbing at me every time I came to work out.
Guidelines for gym conduct are a good thing. -
People who talk on their cellphones while I'm waiting to use a machine are assholes. Why aren't any gyms enforcing the cellphone bans they post so many signs about...

does yogurt help to control flatulence

I think people who don't remove the weights off the machines after they're done are miserable fucks, second only to Hitler. Allah willing, one of those weights will drop on their foot or their throat and teach them proper weight placement manners.
