BKLYN holiday gift ideas — Brooklynian

BKLYN holiday gift ideas

I'm going to visit my family out of state for the holiday and would like to bring them cool gifts that are local to Brooklyn, or NYC.

What are your ideas?

  • Chicken bones.
  • I'd buy a box of Christies Patties and freeze them. if they're anything like Cuban pastelitos, they'll reheat just fine.

there's also a store on Atlantic and ... Nevins maybe? can't remember the name but it carries all goods by local, brooklyn folks. I bought a super cute onesie there for my honorary nephew.
  • Freeze some Bagel Hole bagels.

Please don't send them something from Brooklyn Industries.
  • Don't you love how everything in Brooklyn Industries is made in China? Makes a lot of sense, huh?

    (Don't worry - I've never bought there)

I think the store Alafair is thinking about is Artz'n or something similar. Another good place is the Transit Store. You can get a t shirt with certain brooklyn stations printed on it. Im not sure if they still do but local gardens usually have cute items they sell for fundraising - I think the one on the corner of Atlantic and Hoyt had mugs that read "Straight from the Brooklyn Muggers"
  • also Neighborhoodies, right next to the Brazen Head on Atlantic and Boerum Place.
