Hope Veterinary the only good local vet?

I love Drs. Parker and Maddon at Park Slope Veterinary Care on 5th Avenue between 7th and 8th streets. I've been taking my 4 cats and 2 dogs there since they opened about 6 years ago. They really love animals and it shows. Dr. Parker is the more diplomatic of the 2, while Dr. Maddon is more outgoing and blunt. I bring my babies to both of them and they have always been great. Dr. Parker amputated one of my kittie's legs and was amazing throughout the whole ordeal. Dr. Maddon helped me let my sweet black lab mix go when he found a tumor the size of an orange next to his heart. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. Good luck!

Thanks! What are their prices like?

I've found them to be cheaper than the other vets in the area. Part of why I take my 6 pets there! Having as many babies as I do I had to keep cost in mind but they are amazing regardless. When Caseopia had to have her leg amputated Dr. Parker told me he was going to do the surgery and we could work payment out later. The surgery needed to be done immediately and payment was the farthest thing from his mind. He ended up not charging me the full amount, it was much less than he could have charged. The fact that he cared more about the welfare of my little girl than the money reassured me that my babies were in good hands. I love them!
P.S. If you do go there you'll see a poster I made them to show my appreciation. It has Caseopia on it looking very cute with her 3 little legs.

Answer what? -
You're either pretty pathetic or you're pretty sick... or both. You started a thread about problems with an adopted beagle, yet it has strangely been unmentioned for a while. Then you couldn't handle another adoptive dog, and now it too goes unmentioned. You haven't talked about your min pin for a while, and now you have a new avatar and a sig line praising dogs with bash-in faces? How many animals are passing through your door? These poor dogs already have enough baggage without you giving them more.

Like I said in a previous post, Whyfi, you need to take a deep breath and stop taking everything you read on some internet forum SO SERIOUSLY. How do you know any of it is even true? Ya don't! ROFLMAO!!!

I think that was exactly his point. Is it really a valuable use of your time to construct these elaborate alter-egos with no semblance of reality? Unlike many sites on the Internet, this one is built around a neighborhood. We have a community and many of know each other in real life. Of course you can make up whatever lies you want, but it just diminishes everything else you say here, and makes us more likely to dismiss it.

Hi Carnivore, I'm really just shooting the breeze. The internet is like a tabloid newspaper: anyone can read it. I choose not to post anything that could identify me or where I live. That's just my choice. And that is why it is quite amusing to me that various people think they know my real name and anything at all about my real life. But here are three non-identifying truths about me. I do indeed have two dogs and one of them came from a rescue organization, I really am signed up with an Escort agency and I really am biracial (half black). -

See how that works? -
See how what works? And for the record, I couldn't give a shit about having "credibility" on this forum. I don't even know any of you.

You give enough of a shit to spend more time here than most of the moderators. -

I think you're missing the point. I like the site, but to me it is PURE entertainment. I don't give a shit whether anyone here believes I am "credible" or likes me. I give a shit about what the people in my life think of me obviously, but I don't consider strangers on an internet forum to be "people in my life" -

You just defined "Internet Troll." -

Moderator changed my text to suggest that I am Precious Williams. Please get a life. -

yee-ouch! i have no interest in getting into this scuffle, but i feel compelled to point out one thing, MPWW. there are prolly a good many members here who feel the exact opposite of this statement, and that may be where some hurt/angry feelings are coming into play. like you, i love my neighborhood, my block, my friends, my family. these things all exist in the tangible real world, so it works for people like you and me. but even you must admit that it's becoming more difficult to define what the "real" world is anymore. internet chat rooms, blogs, forums, gaming, etc. have become very real extensions of peoples' social networks. telling those folks that they are all strangers to each other because they haven't actually met is bound to cause some strong reactions. and it may not hurt your feelings, but it's bound to hurt someone else's. -

Point taken.
But it's the immaturity of the mods - as evidenced by the jerkoff who changed my post to say "I admit it, I am Precious Williams" - that makes ME not take this place seriously. Some of the mods act like a gang of prefects and if your views differ greatly from theirs, they seem unable to handle it. -

Wow, that's a pretty strong reaction from someone who just sees the site as "PURE entertainment." You need to relax a little. -

Not really. But the whole idea of calling me annoying all the while behaving childishly yourself (not you personally) is rather...well....
Howdy, Stranger!
