Yep, I agree Patsy - gray day but any day is still a gift. I actually think we'll have an entire week without snow! YES! That's a gift! The storm that was supposed to happen Thursday got a better invitation to go somewhere else. Now, if all the other potential storms would follow...

I tried watching a new show on ch. 5 last night - something about Chicago - I thought I was on another planet, I couldn't understand what they were saying or talking about and the plot jumped all over the place. I hope the Food Channel never goes away!

Hi-Karen-had to laugh when I read your post..i live outside of Chicago & watched that new show too..I thought my hearing was going..the music was too loud & I couldn't understand anyone-they were speaking so fast and the storylines jumped from 1 place to another..i feel so much better now..LOL. Hi Patsy,Terry,Jeannette & Debbie-I think we all feel the same way cuz we're sick of this weather!!! Cabin fever must be setting in...have to go back to work-talk to everyone soon.....bye

Jeanette...it was a dreary day and I had to pick up my friends daughter and I was dragging all the way to her school. The wind had picked up by then and I was freezing!!!! I'm usually never cold....lol

Hey Anthony, I think one of the problems is that most of the girls get into their PJ's early in the winter The cold air sort of puts a person into a "get comfy" mood and the computer is not in their bedroom or near the couch. As far as the guys are concerned there are only a few of us left and I gues we will have to hold down the fort until the replacement troops show up. I also think that Face Book and other big blogs have drawn a lot of people away. I have never been to Facebook and do not intend to go there. I know someone who is in divorce proceeding right now mainly because of something his wife put on Facebook! Please do not give up or I will start to think that I have a harem here. :roll:

Boy is it cold out today...

Well Bobby went for his echogram and stress test, we should hear something this week. He also has to wear a heart monitor for 10 days. He is feeling better, just a little worried until he hears from the doctor.

Hey Anthony, If your Facebook entry was a smack up the side of the head for my entry last night, it has been duly noted.

Speaking of taxes I worked on mine today Be VERY CAREFUL. Changes from last year can be costly. Last year they started (for no apparant reason) taking less money out for Federal Taxes. It was supposed to be for a provision that gave you a break for working while you were retired. I was not working and realized I would get clobbered this year if I left it alone so I contacted them and increased the amount deducted. Good thing I did because my first figure that I arrived at was that I owe Uncle Sam $93. If I had left the deduction amount alone I would have owed in excess of 3-4 hundred dollars. I do not believe in big refunds, it is a tax free loan to the government.However I do not want to owe a large amount either. This year they raised the amount deducted because that item for deduction no longer exists. I am going to leave it alone and see where I stand a little later in the year. You can always change it. :scratch:

Speaking of the movies. Do you remember when the Globe had "Dishes" night. You would get a different dish every time you went on "Dishes" night. If you went often enough you got pretty close to a complete set. It was almost like the Gas Stations who gave you a free glass every time you filled up, I bet some people are still using those glasses. That was back when they cleaned your windshield, checked your oil, etc without being asked. My how times change!!! :bounce:
