Yeah, I have those "too lazy to cook" days also. Have you ever eaten at Aunt Suzie's? Seriously, there are pizza places on 7th Avenue with better sauce and meatballs than them.
that is what I would recommend on lazy days.

About once a year I go to Aunt Suzies as an ode to a very long tern restaurant PS and if I go back 13 years ago I think the food was a lot better. A lot of dishes have red sauce and if you don't like their sauce (and everyone has their own preference) you won't like much of their food. The portions are generous and the service tends to be charming and homey. Carmen, it is not an expensive place so try it once and see what you think.

Primo Atto is not a "red sauce" kind of Italian place Aunt Suzies is.

I love 'red sauce' dishes, I just think their red sauce is bad.

See, as I was saying, everyone can have their own opinion, even when posting on Brooklynian. I don't like Aunt Suzies red sauce either. Last time I ate there was oct2008 and I can't say I found it gross but it was too sweet for my taste.

Back from dinner with Mama Flexi.

We had the mozzerella and tomato appetizer (special). The cheese was fantastic and creamy, the tomatoes were a bit watery (out of season, so it's hard to find good tomatoes). Also had the spinach salad with walnuts and apples. It was very tasty and had the right amount of dressing.

For dinner I had the buccatini with pancetta and onions. Very tasty and only $12.

My mom had a swordfish steak which she thought was a tiny bit overcooked/dry, but still finished every last drop.

A few glasses of cabernet and a pretty attentive staff later, and I'd give it a thumbs up.

    Thanks everybody for the recommendations!

Flexi.. So happy that you enjoyed the meal. I did have the swordfish and on that night it was perfectly cooked. It was served on a bed of mashed potatoes (delicious).
The Mozz special was Bufallo Mozz which is creamy... yeah..nearly impossible to get good tomatoes this time of year.

I often have that issue with wine. If afew means 3 glasses probably you should have (economically) gotten the bottle but if you are having dnner with momma you don't want to over-drink and if the bottle is on the table you surely would.
