Ummmm...huh? Location, directions, time and what to bring were posted at least twice. I'm not taking anyone by their hand though. Nor will I try to convince the haters to come
Mougar, Carmen and Bruno will probably be a no-show from the sound of it. -
em26Ya'll sleeping?
I can't!!!!!!!
I've been laying down for almost an hour and can't fall asleep. I knew i shouldn't have napped earlier. #-o
I predict that I will not be able to fall asleep till 5am or later and I'm getting picked up at 9am .....meaning I gotta get up at 7am.
I'm setting my alarm clock but just in case I end up knocking out on the sofa.....PLEASE if anyone sees this in time -WAKE UP CALL!! If I don't get online and post something here by 8am-Anyone who has my cell number please wake me up. My cell phone alarm sucks ass. It's not a loud enough tone to wake me. nomadHey Em!
Meredith B texted me to say he's had car problems this morn and is just getting going now. Should be picking up in about 30 mins.
I just tried PM-ing you, but it wouldn't work... dunno why.
See you (and everyone!) soon!! -
MODAwesome time. Good and sunned-up. Had drinks, food, shit-talking, catching up with my favorite friends.
Booklaw is the best and has a great sense of humor especially because he can deal with us rowdy people in his car. Many thanks!!!
We must NOT wait 2 years to do this again!!!!!!! -
MODOh, and SO. MUCH. FOOD!!
So much meat grilled meat, hamburger, dogs, sausage, pasta salads, blue cheese and walnut salad, salmon and bacon sandwiches, hummus, chips, salsa, amazing chicken kabobs... the list goes on...
Thanks everyone, much love! -
whynot_31I concur with the above.
...and will soon resume my propaganda regarding the great "vomit in the Atlantic fishing trip" in July. -
carnivoreGood times, good times.
Despite the hike up to the top, which shall henceforth be known here as "The Trail of Tears."
The hike down wasn't bad at all. And the food, drink and company were awesome.
And there were many un-muzzled dogs, including on the trail up the mountain. There was nary a muzzle in sight. -
nomadI had a super fun time!! Great to see/meet you all. We must do it again soon! -
whynot_31I take it my rusty grill ended up with one of you?
...the only bad part about mooching a ride with Booklaw was missing the Kobe beef. -

Sweet tea has your grill. It wasn't kobe beef though. Just regular short ribs off the bone, with Korean BBQ marinade. Kalbi.

whynot_31....ok, but living with a vegetarian, it still sounds yummy.
Sweet tea, feel free to keep it until mid-July. (remember, light from the bottom and open lid: flame goes up.) -
christinaWhat do you mean "just regular short ribs"? They were spectacular.
As were the beers I just enjoyed at the new place on my street. Yay for neighbors, and yay for neighborhood bars. Booo for Monday mornings! -
booklawIt was a great time, the food was excellent (a-hem... I grilled much of it myself), and the company was superb. I enjoyed meeting you all, and seeing again those I'd met before. I look forward to our next picnic or other outing! -
em26I have awaken and my body feels like I got a beat down. It hurts to walk and lie down. WTF?
MeredithB is the best driver ever. Thank you so much!! We made it to and fro in record time.My car mates Scarlett and Nomad were awesome.Nice fun ride in such a cute car.
The trip was freakin' awesome. It was great seeing everyone and meeting some for the first time. Met my new BFF Booklaw. He brought ketchup. He's a keeper.
The 3hr(??) hike was so intense.Wow.I've never pushed myself that hard.ever. Shout out to the hikers who made getting our ass's kicked by Bear Mountain a fun and memorable experience. Ya'll rock.
