How boring can Facebook get?

Is it me or has Facebook gotten exponentially more banal in the last few months? How many times do I have to read about what someone is eating or how bored someone is (thanks for posting that and making me bored, too!)?

Give me Twitter any day. At least I can choose whom I want to follow (Darth Vader is always good for a laugh) without pissing off any friends.

You need better facebook friends who do more than eat and get bored!

I like the quizzes. The personality ones are so much cheaper and more accurate than therapy.

I like the photos and status updates.... at least those from my interesting/funny friends.

Nope. A friend of mine is the Bessel Function: J_n(x) and I have absolutely no clue what that is. But I could probably start applying it to my life if J, n or x is alcohol.

Okay, here is a prime example of my formerly fun friends who are now lame and booo-ring. I gently teased a friend who, in the past, would have laughed heartily and given it right back to me (a relative of his gushed about how wonderful he was - I replied, "How much did you pay her to write that?" with a smiley face). He emailed me and asked if he had done something to offend me because I seem to be making fun of him recently. He titled his email to me "WTF?"

UGH!!!! I told him to fuck off....okay, no, I didn't. I just thought that. I actually asked him if there was some re-branding of his image in a more serious vein that I somehow wasn't aware of. We'll see what the response is.

D123 e-mail can be very misunderstood. This is why you need to come out with us so we can all razz each other in person and laugh in each other's faces!
