Sure, sure - I know your game. You invited me out last Friday and then you pulled the 'ole switcheroo by going to a different bar, instead.

Thankfully, I didn't head over to the first bar or I would have been alone, crying in my beer - shaking my fist in the air, shouting, "Scarrrrlettt!"

P.S. Laughing in each other's faces sounds like fun! ;-)

    I have no trashy parts.

It's a coconut crab. Fuggin' huge ass thing. Imagine seeing that on your garbage? I'll take raccoons and rats any day, thank you. And not native to these parts like me.

Nope. A friend of mine is the Bessel Function: J_n(x) and I have absolutely no clue what that is. But I could probably start applying it to my life if J, n or x is alcohol.
A Bessel function looks like what you get when you give a swing a single good hard push, and then let it slow down.

Ah, this takes me back. Generalizing factorials with the gamma function, approximating it using Cauchy integration (residue theorem ftw!), and using that to calculate the values of Bessel functions of the first kind. Good stuff

I just started to pity you even more than I did earlier.

You'll come crawling back when you need to take factorials of non-integer complex numbers.

Is that like trying to decide if you should engage a micropenis?

Mougar, are you trying to make me swoon? (I'm serious. There's been more than one rocket scientist in my past.) ;-)

Excuse me , my quiz is cool.

How come you ain't take it yet?? I predict you'll get an 80%.

You're only ahead by one point , Why.

You might get that spot cuz the invitations weren't sent , after all.

I opened this thread because I, too, find Facebook to be boring. I think this thread is (marginally -- jk, don't flame me) more interested in content than Facebook, but, the thing is, I don't know any of you IRL. So, I guess I have to keep using FB.

What is going to be the next new social networking wonder of the worlds? Maybe in a fit of rebellion people will go retro and it will become fashionable to talk on the telephone again?

    Anyway. Bored.
