The shepherd's pie appears to be reheated, delivery service is abysmal.

Really? My experience has been rude folks come from ALL cultures and the the English don't particularly have a monopoly on rudeness. Its funny though, I could have sworn I was served by bratty, burned out bitter folks who HAPPENED to be from the US of A

*points to British passport* I think I can speak with some authority on the quality of restaurant service in England and it is often pretty pathetic compared to even basic service here in the US.

It has been a while since I have eaten there (I do like their fish and chips) but I had the feeling a lot of the people who worked there were British. Though now I can't remember which branch I used to go to the most.

This was one of my favorite places when we moved to PS 2 years ago, but the service has gone downhill. The rude slacked-out waiter we kept getting that turned us off to the place was American not British.

I like the fish n chips and the kidney pie is pretty good. I used to enjoy their British breakfast, too, but there are too many screaming kids in there at brunch time.

Their truckers breakfast is missing the essential black pudding.

I think Ceol in Carrol Gardens does the Irish Breakfast. I assume they'd have the pudding. Many irish pubs in manhattan have it.

The purely American service at the Chip Shop is horrific. They do a decent Full English and good Fish & Chips, which endears me to them. I don't eat black pudding but lot's of Irish pubs do a good breakfast too and there is a bar on 9th St at St Marks with an English chef that serves great Fish & Chips and it's a good place to watch real football.
