(Another) BBQ at Prospect Park? Sunday, August 30

The recent Brooklynian picnic had a great outcome but the overall consensus was that we should actually have a real BBQ despite the "no BBQs' laws in Prospect Park that clearly nobody follows. So what's the word? Should we try this again next Sunday? All we need is a decent sized grill (mine has been donated to mougar, but if he still has it we can certainly use it if he lets us).

I'm thinking the Nethermead was a great location, though this would depend on the hopefully successful cleanup effort after the Michael Jackson party on the day before.

    I have mini-propane grill.

Its use would allow us to break location rules, plus use propane (which is a no, no).

I should be able to make it some time during the day depending on where I spend the night before.

and if it is less then 12" off the ground that would be 3 rules broken

Do we bring our own food?

how many grills do we need to bring here, bc carmen would rather not lug dog+ grill to the otherside of the park via foot unless necessary.

I have guests in from out of state and I'm keeping them out of the park and opting for a roof top hang instead because there will be so much smoke that you'd think we'd be BBQing when we weren't, if ya know what I mean.

Yeah you need this to cover the smell from something else, we know ;-)

I think it may be raining that day. Also, due to the nonresponses here I say why don't we go to where the grill is, rather than having the grill come to us. Carmen, this is your decision as you have the key.

I'm also pretty sure he wouldn't want there to be a party at his place when he wasn't there.

Are people actually up for this? We have a [tiny] yard and a grill and are up for sharing. If the rain is really bad, we can just stay in the nice roomy, dry apartment or sacrifice one person to man the grill.

I might try making pb krispies with chocolate krispies if Carni is showing up :)
