I went in there and thought "yeah, great, a bed bath and beyond"

Still makes no sense to me.
    But let the explanation die.
Not all that interested in anything that DR brought up anyway.

There's a Beard Papa at Astor and Broadway?? When did this happen and why wasn't I informed?

Well, I don't want to have to run into Manhattan when I need linens/towels - the quality is good and I have a very deep mattress and it's hard for me to find sheets that fit my bed. For once, something practical has opened up in Park Slope.

    Hey Voodoo
    Creme Puffs!
I gotta get out of the house more.

Never heard of them ( nor beard papa but I hate cream puffs), the website looks pretty nice. I'd rather have this place than a dry cleaner or phone store.

I went in today...not a huge selection of any particular item, but they manage to pack a lot of variety in. Example: I needed a bath rug, and there is basically just one style to choose from, in a handful of colors. Still, the prices were very reasonable, and I liked using the $5 coupon they sent in the mail.

    nykittyny,

i was told they are still getting in new merchandise on a continual basis....the last 2 times i was in there in the evening, they were stocking more stuff...

prices are VERY good, in my opinion. especially the deals they have on their 440 and 550 thread count sheets...

I saw that deal on the sheets! I kept thinking there must be something wrong with them....did you buy any?

I bought the 550 count sheets - they're great - very soft and they feel like they'll last a long time

i'm going back to buy them this weekend...

i wanted to check out century 21 just to make sure i wasn't missing anything and their stuff really isn't as good as i remember.

and definitely not as cheap. the nice sheets like these were twice the price as laytners...

i'm kinda over century21 now. it's nice to be able to get this stuff close by.

I quit my old job because I got excited by office supplies.

For some reason, ^ this reminded me of Craig Ferguson, around bagpipes

    Subject: good stuff

I just bought a "cloud" comforter at laytner's - the salesperson told me they make most of their own linens, rugs and towels and that is why they are so well priced. (it seems they sell to other stores under another label) I must admit they have really sharp prices and the for $79 bucks I got an amazing comforter to keep roasty toasty warm. She also said they have huge sales throughout the winter. way better then Century 21 or Bed Bath. :D:D

This is a great addition to the area. They what I needed (extra long shower curtain liner, surprisingly hard to find thing) plus it turns out they make my favorite bath math so I got a much needed new one!

Spacious store, and helpful employees. One even pulled out a tape measure to help someone make sure he was getting the right sized item.
