I think u are right. I probably misread it...I'm homeless right now :T I could only check my emails and web browse through my phone.

I drive by the building at night once or twice a week. Most times it's almost all dark, but last night lights were on the top floors where I hadn't seen lights before. Anybody home?

Maybe they left it on by accident cause the inspection is tomorrow? But that seems like hope there!

Did anyone actually say there's an "inspection" tomorrow? I only heard that there's a meeting. That's not necessarily the same thing--a meeting makes it seem like it was something small that kept them from getting the TCO on Wednesday.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude--I was really asking. Did someone tell you it was an inspection? This is probably needless stressing on my part but an inspection just sounds like it holds more potential pitfalls than a meeting. And it seems like everyone has been getting slightly different info so maybe someone at BKLYN Gold told you it was a final inspection, in which case, I have slightly less hope for tomorrow, I guess.

don't worry about it. I didn't think it was rude at all. but for me to use words like that is giving false hope to others. I don't want others to think I know something. No they didn't tell me it was an inspection. But Michaela did email me that the building owner will be meeting up with DOB on 10/4. Most of the time when that happens, DOB meets them at the site...

I looked on the DOB website and it seems the TCO will be issued today!

Going to get my keys tomorrow. Not sure when I will be moving in yet, but Ill be sleeping on an inflatable mattress till then. Can't wait to have my commute cut from 2-3 hours to 5-10 minutes. Excited!!!

I am scheduled to move in on Friday, 2 to 4 pm.

The problem now is, what if IKEA decides to deliver at 7 pm? Firstly I would miss my move in time. Secondly, the service elevator will not be operating by then. This is making me so anxious. Is there anyway to negotiate with IKEA on their delivery time? Like for example paying the more so that they would deliver between a specific time frame?

I would probably try asking M and see if she can help you on that one. Because I remember when I signed the lease in July, I had asked the agent that same question. He told me that the building will "Try" to work things out with you if the furniture company really can't give you an exact time.

Anyone try to sign up for an electric account? I couldn't because ConEd doesn't have the building it its records.

I talked to Con-Ed and Time Warner and both of them can’t install service yet! So how are we suppose to move in like that?

I just got off the phone with Con-Ed and he said I was all set. He did ask if it was a new building at one point, but that's it.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to install new service--the service is already there, they just need to switch the names.

As the self-appointed social coordinator for 257 (internships available upon request), I thought Loading Dock across the street would be a good venue once enough people moved in.
