The plywood is now green.     Scaffolding has been erected between the plywood and the garage.

The roof has already been removed, and presumably as soon as it gets above 40 degrees a small army of workers with hammers will begin removing the walls brick by brick.

This week two excavators showed up, and have now demolished around 80% of the garage.

The 20% nearest the shuttle tracks remains.  This lot appears even larger than it did before.

Concrete is already being poured for the foundation on the west side of the site. 3 excavators at work.

This site continues to be one of the sites I believe will make a large impact on western Crown Heights:  http://www.brooklynian.com/discussion/47007/the-big-18-developments-the-whynot-31-wont-stop-talking-about?new=1

Can't wait until this is complete.

Between this and the court officers training building, my block is a construction nightmare right now.

I didn't get a shot, but the building is now almost completely enclosed.

So, I am predicting occupancy in late Summer.   September 2017.

Work continues on this building and Sept still looks possible.

Facade is now almost done, and it looks like they remove the scaffolding and side walk bride within a month.

    Windows are in.

They went with a brown brick facade, and have now roughed out the plumbing and electrical.

    Still looking good for September

So, the local schools are likely to feel very little impact when this building is occupied. ...it may produce as few as 20 children, none of them elementary school age.

What makes you think there will be so few school age children in this building? Aren't there lots of parents of young/elementary school kids living in one and two bedrooms in NYC?
