not BG, but hubby and i had the opposite prob: flooding basement. he was bailing, i was building the ark. only minor conciliation is that misery loves company, and i know there are prolly 1000's of others in the same boat (pun intended) as us.

    how 'bout you, pitu?

I'm not pitu, but I've been considering Drano's suggestion, and maybe we should have another Happy Hour this week. Thursday would work for me. If people are into it, I'll use the new cross-posting feature to start a thread on the PH, PS and CH boards.

    What say you, Mama?

I vote for a Park Slope happy hour. PH is a little too far out for me on a school night. My commute in the mornings is really long. :(

bleh, rain and work, double bleh.

    Mr. Keys?

    C it is.

But I can't promise no drinkin' smokin' or cussin'. What would happy hour be without those?

Let's agree on no fighting though...

Personally I like drunken dancing on tables myself. But to each his own...

Senor Keys, don't leave a girl hangin'! Don't make me throw popcorn at you!

the tables at bar(n) (man, i hate that name) look like they could hold up to some serious dancing, too....i'll have to see what i can do about making it.

and whyfi ought to see what he can do about PULLING HIMSELF TOGETHER and coming, too, despite in-law-induced quavering.

    right, carny?

If you would have said 'darts,' you would have had me at 'hello.'

    Isn't that right, mama?
  • pitu

I don't know about mama's darts, but I'm a recent convert to the Gate darts nook. Who even knew it was there?? Drinking is boring, but darts...and chalk...wooo!

Sheep Station has a dart board in the back room, which they'll only let you use if they're not serving dinner back there.
And they have to take out the seat cushions below it, so it's a minor hassle for them. But there *are* darts behind the bar. Woooo!

Has Flatbush Farm changed since the chef left, WhyFi? I'm going to try to make it over Thursday, but I have another Thing . . .
    (WhyFi next)
  • whyfi

Dunno how much it's changed - we usually only have bar foods... I haven't noticed a change in the onion rings, fries, artichoke dip, etc...

Wife has something going on tomorrow night, so no dinner ready and waiting on Thurs - I might swing out for a drink or three... will that mollify the mob, 'tea?
  • carnivore

    Not tea, but yes.

It's your big chance to have some buffalo pigs feet! I know it's not a basket of bacon, but...

    Buffalo pigs feet?! :?

What are your feelings on this, Cooler Ham?
  • sweet tea

    1. i'd be more into them without the cutesy french name.
    2. what if, like buffalo wings, they're just from Buffalo? then whose feet are they?

    carny? any notion?
  • carnivore
    carnivore
I haven't had them yet, but I've never heard of any pigs feet tradition in Buffalo. My thought was that these were pigs feet done in the style of buffalo wings.

Has anyone ordered these yet from FF and can confirm?

    pitu?
  • pitu

I myself was puzzling over the name . . .
but surely they are feet of pigs, tossed in Frank's Red Hot and served with a side of bleu
and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
