Ahhh, but the "15th Street is not Park Slope" thing cuts both ways. Those of us who live here can opt out of Park Slopeness and pretend to have street cred (or whatever it is that you get when you live in Brooklyn and don't live in Park Slope), but we can also opt in when explaining our painfully high rents to ourselves, or whenever else we want.

hahahah funny. I wonder if I could get Ratner to come to my 4th of July party.

Buy a starbucks coffee and sit at Connecticut Muffin's out door space.

#127: Go up to a total stranger who is holding a starbucks cup and exclaim "I can't believe you bought starbucks when Ozzie's is right over there!!!"

(Actually happened to me. My response? "Ozzie's coffee sucks and their attitude is worse")

    Yes. Seriously.

(oh and for the record, starbucks coffee sucks, too. I prefer the place on Berkeley below 7th or Prospect Perk, whichever's closer)

128 - say out loud that it is time for the people who bought brownstones back in 1985 it is time to retire and move to Florida

129 - Tell people that you will still eat at Aunt Suzies because you like the food and family atmosphere

130 - remind people that dogs bark at other dogs during the unleash hours

or 131 - not my fault your dog is a pussy and can't handle my dog barking at it!

#132 Acknowledge that as long as 99.9% of empty storefronts are becoming banks or cell phone outlets that only sell phones and can't help with tech problems (which WTF? Those outlets should be banned!!), you secretly wish a decent big box store (DECENT, not the mockery of a Target at the Atlantic), a Beard Papa, a Chop't or other good make-your-own-fresh-salad place, etc. would come to the neighborhood.

Outright say that you love the PS dog but really you are coming on to the person and feel the icy chill of their response.
    p.s.

Now the opposite happens to my husband when he walks our two adorable Maltese dogs. Husband is good looking straight guy but he favors wearing berrets in the winter. Male person compliments and makes adorable at dogs however THAT is not really the point of communication. Husband give cool response. the guy walks off disapointed.

Jamzer..lighten up..Though there are some items on this long list that are basic rudeness or thoughtlessness in treating neighbors and can be true in any neighborhood a lot of this thread is tongue and cheek and light hearted.

    Just my opinion.

    Pot meet kettle.

My post was tongue in cheek too. Apparently two can't play this game.

#136 Go on and on about how you love the pepto bismol colored house and are petitioning the zoning board to require all brownstones to be that color.
