The Gifts are open the tree is lit. The floor is covered with wrappings. Christmas day is finally here and wow each year gets better. Church last night was especially moving to me. There were times when we were afraid that neither or one of us (Carol & I) would be here for this Christmas. Yes, I lost family (a Brother & a Sister) this year. Yes,I am the last of my generation. Yes, I miss them but how lucky we are to have each other and this Blog family adds much to the JOY I am feeling this year!!! :santa: :rendeer:

Well, it looks like in we're in for it. Some forecast up to a foot of snow by Monday night. I say, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..."

See, I'm just moving back to Brooklyn (same building, as a matter of fact,) after being in Austin, TX for twenty years. Now, I saw snow a couple of times; one year we actually got two inches of accumulation! Yeah, anyway...

So, welcome me back. Perhaps you'll see me at Mission Dolores one night. I'll be the guy with the short brown hair and gray beard. And, yes, you may buy me a beer.

Merry Christmas to everyone!!! I hope you all enjoyed it. I was happy my sister Donna came in from Virginia this year. It's so nice being with family.

Glad to see some faces that we've missed around here.

Judy....thanks for asking about my tooth but you may be sorry you did....lol I've been to 2 dentists, one implant specialist and an oral surgeon....I've been suffering with shooting pains in my jaw up into my head. He said I have a swollen lymph node in my cheek and a sinus infection and I should see my ENT. I called her and she doesn't think that's it!!!!!! OMG what the hell can't someone figure this out. I'm supposed to go to see her in the city monday but lets see what the weather has in store for us

Hi-sounds like everyone has had a wonderful Christmas..just read a blizzard may be heading for NYC on Monday...it's been snowing here since Thursday...everyone has gone home (except my son-he'll leave tomorrow) I'm watching Justin at 7:30 AM-Tina & Scott are going to the Bears game. (she won box seat tickets)..and I have a new 42 inch plasma TV to watch (from all kids)..I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas & have a happy & healthy New Year...talk to u soon.......bye........

HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS IN S.I. WITH MY SISTER, NIECES & NEPHEWS & STEPMOM. SO MUCH FOOD & LOTS OF LOVE & LAUGHS.

AS YOU KNOW, IT WAS A BITTERSWEET DAY FOR US, BUT FOR THE KIDS SAKE, WE STAYED UPBEAT & HAD A WONDERUL DAY!~~ ONE OF MY LITTLE NIECES BOUGHT ME A SNUGGIE WITH SMILEYS, HEARTS & BEST OF ALL PEACCE SIGNS ON IT.. IT IS SO SOFT & COMFY.I PUT IT ON LAST NIGHT FOR A LITTLE WHILE, WHILE READING ON THE COUCH. I LOVE IT!! Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas...Had a great time Christmas Eve with my husband's family and then to moms yesterday...had a wonderful time...then in between courses, we took a ride to Sloane to see my brother in law....we knew we couldn't go in to see him, but my sister, nieces and my sisters mother in law was there with him, they were so surprised to see us...we just wanted to show up and wish him a Merry Christmas. Then my sister and everyone came back to the house and we all ate our second course and dessert, had a really good time.

Well its snowing out, looks really pretty, but hope I can get to work tomorrow...have no more paid days left...LOL

Debbie - That has to be very frustrating, hope you can get some relief.

Welcome; Bigsilk, let us know where the bar is, we should have a mini reunion there some day!!! LOL

Merry Christmas to all our administrators who have been such a great help to all us old folks who are not so good on the computer...LOL LOL

Okay you SNOW lovers. After your begging for snow please do not complain about shoveling or driving in it. Snow is the main reason I live in Florida. We do not get any and I DO NOT MISS IT ONE BIT. We are however cold and windy right now. Temp tomorrow and Tuesday AM predicted to be in the high 20's. That is silly for us but that is the way it is. The wind today is ferocious. Coming in and out of Church was a challenge to stay on your feet. Carol said if she did not have my 200lbs to hold on to, she would have blown away.

I also wonder where BIGSILK lived before and where he is moving back to. I am out of the hood since 1960 but who know's. Maybe his family name would be familiar is they grew up in the slope??? :king:

Hi All - Hope Christmas was merry and Santa treated everyone extra special!!

Well, I'm complaining - I don't like the snow!! I bought a snow blower but it didn't arrive yet (bought it online) so I'm stuck shoveling once again and I have bronichitis (ugh...) Oh well this to shall pass.

I got a kindle for Christmas so I'm going to go play with it.

Later - stay safe with this weather (Suzie - I have a dish of strufoli for you if you'd like!)

Snow snow go away... Is it summer yet??

I can't believe the amount of snow. Across the street from me there's very little snow. Of course, on my side, we're buried. I couldn't open my front door - the snow must've been 4ft. No street plowing. My driveway is completely blocked. Oh well - I'll see you in September.... I think if the wind stopped it wouldn't be half as bad. My shed door in the yard blew open but I can't back there. Glad I'm not working.

If you're out there take it easy and slow.

I'm staying in and will worry about it tomorrow.

I think Patsy and I will stay in hiding for a while....everyone wants to kill us!!!!! lol

Karen....I couldn't get my front door open either. Kevin started to walk to work this morning but a plow was coming down the block and picked him up. They went about 5 blocks and got stuck for 3 hrs....lol He said 11 plows are down.
