I've been in the neighborhood for about 6 months, but just walked by this amazing place the other day. does anyone know what the deal is with membership or where to find more information?

    Membership is pretty easy. All that's required is paying annual dues ($5-$25, sliding scale), coming to three meetings per year, and doing ten (i think) service hours working around the garden or on various garden-related community projects. There is a seperate waiting list for individual garden plots, but as soon as you join there are many communal gardening opportunities.

    There will be a garden information table set up on Vanderbilt Summer Streets this Sunday - or just pop into the garden any time the gate is open....we're a friendly bunch.

    ps - since its in prospect heights proper, you might want to have this moved to the PH board.
