    You are so right He was nuts. They said he did not want to go into the army so he pretended he was crazy for years and after awhile he was. lol I just think he was nuts all the time but a funny nuts...Harmless.

    Prayers for a friend and her sister and family. Her sister lost her son yesterday morning 35 years old so they need lots of prayers......

    Could everyone keep my brother Vinny in your prayers today he's is having an angiogram this morning. Been having chest pains and they are concerned. Poor guy already has 4 stents!!!! Thank you :-)

    Is it because we are getting older or what??? So sick of all the illness and death but this is life. I will add him to my very long list.

    Keep my friends daughter in your prayers. (Deanna 26) Thyroid problems and just got operated in sloan on the 4th.

    Just pray for one of our bloggers. She lost her nephew. Her sisters son. they grew up with us. do not want to post anything. Just if interested those I did not email we are sending a basket. If u r interested send five bucks to me. If u cant it is ok I am sending a basket with some entermens (spell)cakes and coffee and candy. I will try to keep the cost down...I am a shopper. lol

    More than the money say the prayers to give them strength to get through this....so sad

    Terry, sorry to hear about her nephew, my condolences, so sad.

    On the news this morning, they showed Brooklyn and said 9 inches of snow today. We are getting about 2 inches this afternoon, a storm coming in from KY. Then a coastal storm coming in on Mon-Tues. Wow, this has been a record breaker for us.

    LAUNDRY (AS USUAL), BUT I AM GOING TO GO OUT A LITTLE TODAY & DO SOME SHOPPING..

    I WENT TO W.W.'S LAST NIGHT & THEY WERE CLOSED ON THE FRIDAYS I GO. (XMAS EVE & NEW YEAR'S EVE) SO THIS WAS MY 1ST TIME BACK ON THE SCALE IN 21 DAYS.. I THOUGHT, OMG, I PROBABLY GAINED BACKED A FEW POUNDS SINCE MY LAST MEETING, BUT (& I AM PROUD OF MYSELF) WITH ALL THE FOOD & DESSERTS THRU OUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON, I ONLY GAINED

    1/2 LB..WHEN SHE SAID ONLY 8 OUNCES, I WAS LIKE 'WHEW' :thumleft: & I WAS A HAPPY CAMPER IN MY MEETING.. =DB

    Hello all. Glad the snow storm did not bury you up North again like last week. Boy do I remember those days. I have two pictures on our dining area server to remind me of why we moved here. It is me and the other my NJ neighbor with snow shovels. The banks are taller than our shoulders and it was still snowing!Then the plow came and refilled our driveways. Sorry folks, I do not miss that AT ALL.

    Terry, in response to your entry yesterday, if you are getting troubled by the amount of illness & death around you these days, I must warn you that in a so called senior community you must get used to those things or you will go batty. I have 5 houses across the street from me that had couples in them 13 years ago when we built our house. Now 4 are widows and the 5th the couple are both gone. It is the way it is in this age bracket and you make friends, lose friends and make new friends. Its tough but compared to the average death age years ago (my parents in their early 50's) it has greatly improved. Cheer up. Retirement (when you get to it and can afford it) aint a bad way to live.... :roll:

    Thanks for the prayers for Vinny....thankfully all went well. No more blockages, considering he already has 4 stents and he's only 40. Anyway i'm grateful that all is well right now!!

    JUST GOT BACK FROM SHOPPING (86TH ST).. IT'S FREEZING OUT THERE. WE WENT TO UNCLE JIMMY'S BBQ RESTAURANT ON 88/4 AVE.

    DELICIOUS.. WE DID TAKE OUT FROM THERE 1 OR 2 TIMES, BUT WE FINALLY DECIDED TO GO THERE SINCE WE WERE ONLY A FEW BLOCKS AWAY SHOPPING, ANYWAY..

    Feel sad about all the deaths and illness but that comes with life...I hate posting cause it upsets some on here but that is why I said when we get older it seems like more people are leaving us. this is life and we have to enjoy every moment...

    Me too Patsy,

    I go on saturdays and they were closed for 2 weeks. The scale said I gained 1 lb but I think it was cause I ate late last night and got weighed early. Even if I did gain only a pound that was good for the holidays. Saw Franny and the girls last night will post photos..
