Anyone know what's up with this place? I've never seen it open, but the sign has been up for 5 or 6 months. I keep getting targeted ads on FB for them. I actually signed up for a free class and it told me to show up whenever I wanted to, but that's hard ...
Hey all, I was just biking down Franklin and, between Atlantic and Pacific, I noticed folks putting the finishing touches on the taproom for Bad Seed Cider—a Hudson Valley producer. Supposed to open in later September.
Just noticed this place while walking the dog - appeared out of nowhere around the corner from me on Bergen between Utica and Schenectady. Anyone have any info? I didn't see anyone inside that I could ask.
Heard 8 gunshots near Classon & Lincoln at exactly 650pm this eve (Sat 10/21), then within a minute car tires squeeling, then nypd cars & sirens racing down Lincoln toward Washington. All followed by ambulances and more NYPD cars & helicopter circling w spotlight. Anyone know what happened? Im guessing more teenage gang insanity ...

The proprieters are unrelated to the prior ones. I'm hearing that the signs went up today, but don't have a photo yet.
Likewise, I haven't seen a request for a kitchen inspection yet.
Anyone know anything about this place?
I have always wondered what this big building was originally, and suspected it was once an orphanage. So today I looked it up, and am now sharing it with you.Spoiler alert: It was institutional, but not an orphanage.
Had a quick look at the new (former bodega) space on the ground floor in the northwest corner building at Montgomery and Rogers. Looks good, exposed brick, large corner space and basement for food storage and prep. Contractor said the owner is building it out for rent as a coffee shop or restaurant. It has ...
This building which dominates Nostrand Avenue between Park Place and
Sterling was most recently used as theater. It was owned by Judge John Phillips
and has been vacant for years. In years past it had been a Kresge 5 and 10
discount store. It was sold at auction this week for $3.96 million according to ...
As per @crownheightser
"So, last week I saw a ton of sheetrock being moved into the 713-723 "Palace" building at Nostrand and Sterling. Workers said that they were fixing up the place to be rented, and doing a lot of repairs to the basement systems, walls, and ceilings. I think the owner is fixing up ...
A Brooklynian member gets a shout out/quote in Gothamist:
"Summerhill, a new "boozy sandwich shop" on Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, issued a press release on Monday advertising one of its cocktails next to a "bullet hole-ridden wall"—remnants of a "a rumored backroom illegal gun shop."
"Yes, that bullet hole-ridden wall was originally there ...
Shots heard on Sterling Place right off of Franklin ave. Undercovers arrived within minutes as people where seen fleeing the block. Patrols are on the street, helicopter flying above. No ambulance or injuries apparent
There seems to be a street party or something setting up on Union Street @ Bedford next to the Armory. Anyone know what this is? Big loud speakers going since 10:30am (playing Justin Bieber right now), and tables and chairs are being set up in the middle of the street. Lots of school-aged kids. I'm ...
