    Late for Church

    Hope all is well.

  • Terry, say a prayer for me for I am a sinner. Not going to Church today. No good reason both feeling okay. Just lazy!

    Anna, getting back to your exploring Florida as a possible move. My father taught me many years ago that when I had an important decision to make I should take a pad and put a line down the entire middle of the page. On one side put all the plusses that I find and on the other side put the minuses. For example. Weather would be on both sides. No more snow or real cold but quite hot and humid for longer perods then up North and possibility of serious storms.

    If you consider amusements we have Disney-4 parks, Universal-2 parks, Lego Land, Busch Gardens, and sea shore on both coasts. That would all be a plus. The price for those places might be a minus if you are close on your income. I do not know about Real Estate taxes in Illinois but Real Estate taxes in Florida are much, much lower then NJ. As far as sports are concerned we have professional baseball and Football teams on both coasts.Hockey,Basketball etc:. On the minuses- insects live all year and some of them are the size of small mice. Lizards such as Anols, Geckos (both are small) and in some areas Iguanas which are not so small. I think you get the picture. You have to decide what is important to you and see if the pluses outweigh the minuses! Good luck and Take your time making your decision. 8)

  • Good Morning All,

    Today my baby boy starts New York Law. Pray he can do it. He had to quit his job to go full time. Boy Oh boy. Loans, loan, loans.

    He does not realize (I don't think) he will not have a life for at least 3 years. You can not party or do anything. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. Just being a worried Mom...

    How is he going to pay bills?? Oh I know his loans of 47 thousand dollars a year. He could have bought a house. lol

    Oh well i am trying not to worry because it all will work out..

    Have a great day.

    THINKING AND PRAYING FOR OUR FREDDIE..RIP

  • Good Morning...quick typeby-Terry-you're not alone...no matter how big our kids (or old) mothers will always worry-that's our job...(LOL)...you always hope they remember what u taught them growing up..work hard, have fun,take responsibility and have accountability for your actions & they should be fine....well, have to get back to work..bye..have a great day everyone........

  • ](*,)Terry, it does not stop there. I have a Grandson who travels to NY from north Jersey to college. He goes to John Jay College and is majoring in Forensics. He drives to Ringwood NJ from Wanaque and takes the Bus into Manhatten. Then the subway downtown to the college. Yes I worry about him. I have another Grandson who is going to Stevens Institue in Hoboken but is on a work study program working nights for NASDAQ in Carteret. He drives all kinds of crazy hours from Dumont NJ down to Carteret every night. One of my Grandaughters goes to Stockton State in south Jersy. She lives on campus but has all kinds of Medical problems which keep her from doing many of the things her classmates do. Yes I worry about her, and all the rest of my Grandchildren, all 7 of them. My kids are all adults but yes I worry about them every day. It does not stop so you are normal and have to try and relax!

    I did not know Fred but read many of his entries on the blag. My sympathies to his family and all you friends of him on your loss.

    Anthony, sometimes when people complain about minor health problems, it is to hide the more serious problems that they are being silent about. :pale:

  • Thank you Anna and Warren.

    Fred never complained about his illness.

    He had a kidney transplant AND IT WAS SUCCESSFUL.

    He was a diabetic I think and he had one leg amputated and was doing great.

    He had Pancreatic cancer which no one knew and I guess passed from that deadly disease..

    I loved his quote under his photo on here.

    Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting:

    ~~~~ HOLY SHIT, WHAT A RIDE ~~~~~
  • good night sweet dreams
  • Good Morning all,
    Off to zumba by the beach. Need it after all the eating..lol
    May go to see Freddie today. I hate driving into brooklyn and no one knows me in his family. I feel funny but my kids said MA..go for him...So I guess I will go even though I really don't know anyone. He is at Scarpaci's so I guess there will be someone I know but I will do it for Freddie. I am sure he is watching us from above...
    see ya later...Love to all...
    Prayers are needed for Vincy Ann(she was married to Monteforte years ago not anymore) who grew up in the slope. Her little baby grandson needs lots of prayers I believe prayer works....so if u remember say one. thans
