Rave: afternoon in the pool with a white bordeaux and blackberries and plums from the garden. Dinner of salad and pasta marinara all fresh, from the garden and homemade.
Rant: damn these country folk go to bed early

Edited to add: totally forgot about the deer. There we are in the pool with music blasting from the speakers and 5- five!- deer come over to steal blackberries. The couldn't have cared less that we were 20 feet away. Crazy.

Holy shit it's dark here.

RANT: Latent mosquito bites. I need a bottle of calamine lotion!

Rave: Dress shopping at lunch time!

Rant: I owe Ticket Master a lot of money.

Rave: I bought Pixies tickets last week, and just now picked up two tickets for Neko Case (my future Future Wife)!

For some odd reason she's not entirely on-board with being future Future Wife. Something about having no idea as to who I am. Weird, right?

Rant: I've been clean shaven all summer, so I have to shave everyday.

Rave: The cooler, bearded, months are just around the corner!

Rave: Leopoldi's. (I mentioned them in another thread but thought more should be reminded of this great local store.) They are always helpful and friendly and the only place (of those I've tried, including Tarzian and Pintchik) that has not screwed up key copies. I've had probably more than 10 copies made there and all work!

Rave: sale stuff at Old Navy. Comfy cotton dresses on sale for $10 (some say $15 but ring up $10.)
